To register with British Columbia Emergency Support Services (ESS) and for more information on your nearest reception centre, visit www.emergencyinfobc.gov.bc.ca/wildfires-2021 or call 1-800-585-9559
Those who are unable to complete their registration with Red Cross on the phone can also register in-person at the following locations to determine their eligibility for financial assistance.
For Mount Law
Those requiring assistance can report to ESS reception at 1480 Sutherland Avenue today, open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. The Emergency Support Services (ESS) reception centre at Mount Boucherie Secondary has closed to streamline operations. Call Center is now available for evacuees 1-833-498-3770 by calling in you don’t need to go to Sutherland Ave, you can register and request support through the phone.
North Shore Community Centre located at 452 – 730 Cottonwood Avenue, in Kamloops.

Thompson-Nicola Regional District Resiliency Centre located at #3-700 Tranquille Road at Northills Mall in Kamloops.

Abbotsford Clarion Hotel and Conference Centre located at 36035 N Parallel Rd. in Abbotsford
- Open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day.

Central Okanagan Food Bank:
In order to serve the community better, the Central Okanagan Food Bank KELOWNA LOCATION has adopted an appointment based system. All new and returning clients will now need to book an appointment for food assistance by calling 250-763-7161.
Hamper pick-ups are available, by appointment only, during the following dates and times.

Friday: Tiny Bundles: 9:30am-11am

Salvation Army:
The impact of the ongoing BC Fire emergencies is far reaching in, around, and beyond our community. Many are experiencing evacuation orders and alerts. The Salvation Army in Kelowna / Lake Country has been assisting and supporting our local ESS reception centre and evacuees since mid June. Evacuees are coming from the interior and now from the Glenrosa area of West Kelowna.
While The Salvation Army support services continue we are grateful to those who are reaching out to help. Here is how you can direct your support during this time:
To make a financial donation:
Cheques can be mailed to The Salvation Army, 1480 Sutherland Ave. V1Y 5Y5
Cheques/Cash/Visa/MC donations can be done in person at: The Salvation Army 1480 Sutherland Ave.V1Y 5Y5. Or at, The Salvation Army Thrift Store located at 200 Rutland Rd. S.
On line donations can be made through our website www.kelownasalvationarmy.ca.
Donations of goods:
Clothing and small household goods: please drop off at our thrift store located at 200 Rutland Rd. S. We have been providing vouchers for families needing clothing.
Water, snacks, toiletries can be dropped off at either of our two locations in Kelowna.
