Contest Rules
The “New Country Flyaway – Country Thunder Arizona” contest (hereinafter: the “Contest”) is brought to you by Stingray Radio Inc. (hereinafter: the “Contest Organizers”). The Contest runs across Canada (except in the Province of Quebec) from November 12, 2024 at 12:01am EST until December 6, 2024 at 8:00pm EST (hereinafter: the “Contest Period”).
ELIGIBILITY
This Contest is open to all persons residing in Canada (excluding Quebec), who have reached the age of age of majority in their province/territory as of the first day of the Contest Period. Notwithstanding the preceding, the Contest is not open to individuals associated with the Contest, including the employees, agents and representatives of the Contest Organizers, (including their respective divisions, subsidiaries, affiliates and agencies), their advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of prizes, materials and services related to this contest or any other party directly linked to the holding of this Contest (the “Excluded Individuals”). This Contest is also not open to the immediate family members of the Excluded Individuals. For the purpose of these Contest Rules, “immediate family” includes: father, mother, brothers, sisters, children, legal or common-law spouse and individuals with whom such employees, agents and representatives reside.

No purchase necessary. Between the dates of November 12th, 2024 and December 6th, 2024 the following participating stations and network will play “New Country Flyaway – Country Thunder Arizona” (collectively, the “Participating Stations”).

Listeners can visit the participating station’s website at any time to enter into the contest. The participating station and network will conduct a random daily draw from all eligible entries for each contest play.
Each weekday during the contest period, each participating station and network will announce a contestant’s name. Time of announcement will vary by station and network.
Once the contestant’s name is identified, they will have nine (9) minutes to call the participating station back, if they call the station back within the nine (9), they will receive one (1) entry into the Grand Prize Draw.
If they do not call the station back within nine (9) minutes of their name being identified, they will not receive an entry into the Grand Prize Draw. Entrants may only enter once through one of the participating stations. Duplicate entries on more than one participating station will be disqualified.
The odds of being selected as a contestant will depend on the number of entries received during the Contest Period.
GRAND PRIZE DRAW
The Grand Prize Draw will occur on Monday, December 9th, 2024 in which the Contest Organizers will randomly select one (1) entry from all valid qualifying entries from all participating stations and network. Each participating station and network will have a maximum of 38 qualifiers entered into the Grand Prize draw for a maximum combined total of 190 entries from all participating stations and network.
GRAND PRIZE DESCRIPTION
There is one (1) Grand Prize available to be won. Prize includes:
- Roundtrip economy class airfare for 2 adults to Phoenix, AZ from the closest major Canadian airport to which the winner resides
- 5 nights hotel accommodation at the Best Western Gold Canyon Inn & Suites
- 2 Platinum Experience Tickets to Country Thunder Arizona April 10 – 13, 2025
- 2 Platinum Experience Tickets to Country Thunder Alberta August 15 – 17, 2025
The approximate value of the Grand Prize is $5,000.00. Actual value may vary based on the Grand Prize winner’s departure point.
1.) Dates/Terms/Eligibility. CIGV-FM, New Country 100.7 (the “Station”) may change the dates and/or terms of the Contest without prior notice. Any material changes will be broadcast on the Station and/or posted on its website. The Contest is open to legal Canadian residents, 18 years of age and older, residing in British Columbia. There is no purchase necessary to enter or win. Employees or agents of Stingray Radio Inc. stations or any entity associated with the Contest, as well as members of the same household of any such employee or agent, may not participate.
2.) Prizes. Only one winner or qualifier per household per 30 days on CIGV-FM, New Country 100.7 Radio. Winners must wait 30 days before they are eligible to win another prize. All sales, prize and other taxes, gratuities and any other incidentals associated with the prize are the sole responsibility of the prizewinner. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and may not be substituted, except by sponsors for reasons of unavailability. In which case, a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. CIGV-FM, New Country 100.7 Radio assumes no responsibility or liability for damages loss or injury resulting from acceptance or use of the prize. CIGV-FM, New Country 100.7 Radio is not responsible for replacing tickets in the event of show cancellations as a result of weather, promoter or performer.
3.) Conditions/Restrictions. Each winner will be required to produce identification satisfactory to the Station. Each winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release, including a publicity release, as prepared by the Station prior to receiving their prize. Each winner will be responsible for any taxes or fees that result from the receipt and/or use of their prize. The Contest is void where prohibited by law. Anyone using fraudulent means to participate and/or win the Contest will be disqualified.
4.) Conditions/Restrictions. CIGV-FM, New Country 100.7 Radio is not responsible for errors, problems or delays in the mail or telephone systems that may prevent callers or entries from reaching CKKO-FM, K 96-3 Radio. Listeners can call the CIGV-FM, New Country 100.7 Radio contest line. If a caller gets disconnected for any reason before their name and phone number have been recorded, another call will be taken. Decisions of the CKKO-FM, K 96-3 Radio judges are final. All contest entries will become the property of CIGV-FM, New Country 100.7 Radio.
5.) Release and Indemnification. In exchange for the right to participate in the Contest, each participant agrees to release and indemnify the Station, and its officers, directors, agents, parent companies, subsidiaries and employees (the “Released Parties”), from any and all claims, demands and/or causes of action of any nature or kind whatsoever, whether presently known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, that arise out of the participant’s participation in the Contest.
6.) The winner(s) and any guest(s), if applicable, must comply with all COVID-19 vaccination, screening, testing, safety and related requirements imposed or required by (if applicable) the Station, the venue, event promoter, sponsors, travel providers, hotels, governmental authorities or others in connection with the receipt, use, and redemption of any prize (other than a cash prize). Refusal to comply with all applicable COVID-19 requirements will result in forfeiture of the prize and no replacement or alternate prize will be provided. All cancellations are deemed beyond the control of the Station and its sponsors. This includes, but is not limited to, event cancellations due to any pandemic or epidemic constituting a public health emergency, including those subject to government mandated quarantines, travel restrictions, or stay-at-home orders. The Station and/or its sponsors shall in no way be responsible under any circumstances whatsoever for replacing, and/or for reimbursing any winner(s) with any form of compensation for, any prize(s) or portion(s) thereof forfeited due to the refusal of the winner(s) and/or their guest(s) to comply with all applicable COVID-19 requirements and/the cancellation of any event, nor will any alternate prize(s) be provided.
7.) Rules. Any violation of these rules will result in disqualification. Copies of these rules are available at the Station’s website, in person at the Station’s studios (1601 Bertram Street, Kelowna, BC. V1Y 2G5) during regular business hours (Mon-Fri. 8:30am – 5:00pm) or by sending a request, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope, to the Station at this address.
Special Internet Rules
1.) Game and contest participants using the Internet must provide a valid email address. Limit one entry per email address.
2.) CIGV-FM, New Country 100.7 Radio and sponsors not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone or other transmission failures of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; or incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions whether caused by CIGV-FM, New Country 100.7, users, by any equipment or programming utilized in promotions, games or contests, or by human error which may occur in the processing of submissions, which may limit a participant’s ability to participate.
3.) CIGV-FM, New Country 100.7 Radio reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend a promotion, game or contest should a virus, bug, computer or other problem beyond the control of CIGV-FM, New Country 100.7 corrupt the administration, security or proper execution of any Internet promotion, game or contest, or the Internet portion of any promotion, game or contest. CIGV-FM, New Country 100.7, in its sole discretion, may award prizes to entries received by alternate means. All Internet participants agree to be bound by these rules, and the Official General Rules appearing above.
4.) Apple is not a sponsor and is not involved in any way in the CIGV-FM, New Country 100.7 contests posted on our website and mobile app.
Special BCLC Contesting
1.) A restriction to their contest terms and conditions that prohibits individuals under 19 years of age from participating in contests that are sponsored by BCLC or where BCLC provides a prize.
